Pamela Beatty

Pamela has spent half of her career working fulltime in large corporations from airlines to manufacturing. For the past 20 years she has been a human resources consultant and coach to various organizations in areas of health care, retail, information technology, manufacturing and the non-profit arena. While working Pamela has expressed her creativity through dance, art and music. She performed in an amateur dancers’ company for several years, established and led a church as the senior minister for 5 years, regularly exhibits her paintings and is currently a jazz singer and band leader. Pamela is happiest when art meets work, as in writing this book.

Barbara Roberts

Originally from Seattle, WA and with lengthy stops in Pittsburgh, PA and the San Francisco Bay area, Barbara Roberts, Ed.D. currently resides in Southeast Florida, just north of Miami. Dr. Roberts began her long career in education at the elementary level where she taught in a multi-ethnic, multicultural, multi-socioeconomic tiers, ungraded primary experiment in Tacoma, WA. It was a wonderful introduction to change, which has been a defining constant in her life. After a few years, a move, and the birth of son number one, she had the opportunity to teach at the community college level. She had son number two early on in that career, which continued for a total of nineteen years, before she moved on to administration, still in the community college setting. She served as a dean for a number of years in two different types of schools/colleges, as a president at two postsecondary institutions and in a corporate role as a regional vice-president. Lots of change, and she thrived on it! She finally retired from higher education at the age of 67. In addition to writing a lifestyle book with her friend, Pamela, she also has a small business selling private label skin care products, an interest that developed soon after she left her last administrative position. As a matter of fact, Dr. Roberts has several interests in life, including reading, writing, coaching others about their writing, traveling, dancing, skiing, walking, hanging out at the beach, and going out to eat. Although divorced now, her two sons have blessed her with three of the cutest granddaughters.
